Walk of Fem: 60 stars, 60 women's stories

Nordico Stadtmuseum Linz

The Walk of Fem runs along the Ernst Koref Promenade in Linz, between the Lentos art museum and the Brucknerhaus, with more than 60 stars honouring women from the city. Artivive put the stories behind the stars: scan a name and you get the life, in picture and voice, of architect Gabriele Heidecker who co-initiated the walk, of Ute Bock who spent her life supporting young refugees, of Ernestine von Sternegg who founded the hospital that still exists, of writer Eugenie Kain, painter Michaela Pfaffinger, mathematician Olga Taussky-Todd and housemaid and diarist Kaethe Dirnesberger. Produced with the Nordico Stadtmuseum Linz as one station of a wider city tour.

Outcome: More than 60 stars on the promenade, with audio and visual biographies attached to the named women.
