101 printed illustrations, one showroom, Vienna Design Week

Fedrigoni Austria

Fedrigoni's showroom in Vienna's 7th district held "Bring Art to Life!" over three days in October 2018 as part of Vienna Design Week. The design agency 101 ran an open call and selected 101 illustrations, which were printed on paper and hung across coloured walls; visitors hold a phone to a sheet and the ink lines start drawing themselves. For a paper manufacturer the show was a direct test of what happens when the printed product carries a digital layer.

Outcome: 101 illustrations selected through an open call were printed and shown at the Fedrigoni Showroom from 2 to 4 October 2018 as part of Vienna Design Week.

How a case like this gets made
  1. Pick what people will point their phone at: a painting, poster, pack, page or wall.
  2. Add the digital layer in the Artivive editor. Video, image, 3D model, sound. No code.
  3. Publish. Visitors open it in the free app or through a WebAR link, and enterprise campaigns run fully white label, under your own brand.
