The WALD calendar: famous artworks made of forest
Österreichische Bundesforste
The WALD calendar of the Austrian Federal Forests recreates famous artworks out of forest materials: leaves, moss, bark and stone arranged into compositions after Caspar David Friedrich, Klimt, Keith Haring and Miro, photographed for each month. The AR layer plays the making of the picture, so readers see the pile of natural material become the painting. Published by WALD Magazin with creative direction by Pia Scharler and photography by Craig Dillon.

How a case like this gets made
- Pick what people will point their phone at: a painting, poster, pack, page or wall.
- Add the digital layer in the Artivive editor. Video, image, 3D model, sound. No code.
- Publish. Visitors open it in the free app or through a WebAR link, and enterprise campaigns run fully white label, under your own brand.
