TOTAL WASTE: an AR artist book from Berlin
Yaron Maïm
TOTAL WASTE is an augmented reality artist book by Berlin based artist Yaron Maim, published in 2019 under the ENBYX label. The printed pages hold collage and typography, and the AR layer turns them into moving sequences about DIY identity and a pop culture without gender rules. The book stays a book: no screen replaces it, the phone just adds the second voice.
Bring your next edition to life
Books, magazines, catalogues and postcards carry an AR layer that readers open with their phone camera, no app download needed.
How a case like this gets made
- Pick what people will point their phone at: a painting, poster, pack, page or wall.
- Add the digital layer in the Artivive editor. Video, image, 3D model, sound. No code.
- Publish. Visitors open it in the free app or through a WebAR link, and enterprise campaigns run fully white label, under your own brand.
